Khatme Nabuwat extremists to hold anti-Ahmadiyya conference in Rabwah

Islamic extremists linked to the “Khatme Nabuwat” movement are set to hold a “Khatme Nabuwat conference” at the illegally constructed Jamia Usmania in the “Muslim Colony”. The conference is being held to celebrate Pakistan National Assembly’s decision which declared Ahmadis as non-Muslim 41 years ago on 7th September 1974.

The conference will be attended by several local islamists including Amir Hamza, a leading member of the banned terrorist outfit Jammat ud Dawa, JUD’s Chief Hafiz Saeed has a $10 million US government bounty against him.

District Police Officer Chiniot Muhammad Abdul Qadir Qamar inspects security arrangements for the conference.

Other participants include Tahir Ashrafi, head of Pakistan Ullema(Clerics) Council and Illyas Chinoti a member of the Punjab Provincial Assembly who lead a resolution against a former Pakistani diplomat for taking part in an Ahmadiyya Muslim convention.

The location of the conference is also very noteworthy as the Muslim Colony is an illegal settlement at the edge of Rabwah close to the bank of River Chenab, the colony has been illegally occupied by settlers linked to the Khatme Nabuwat organization.

On 4th March 1976 Lahore High Court issued the following order against the occupation :

Status quo shall be maintained meanwhile, that is to say, the petitioners who claim to be in possession, shall not be dispossessed.

In 2005 and similarly again in 2009 pieces of land located in the illegal colony were auctioned off against the court order by the District Housing Committee Chiniot but the auction was only open to those who believe in ‘complete and unconditional end of prophethood’ and who is not a follower of anybody who claimed to be a prophet in any sense of the word or is an Ahmadi/ Qadiani/Mirzai/Lahori.’
