The Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHTPA) on Tuesday auctioned residential and commercial plots in Chiniot district following the placement of an advert that excluded Jamaat-i-Ahmadiyya adherents from the proceedings. Publisher of Ahmadiyya newspaper Daily Al-Fazl denied bail

A Supreme Court of Pakistan bench on Tuesday denied bail to the publisher of Al-Fazl, a 102-year-old Ahmadiyya publication, who is behind bars for three years on blasphemy and terrorism charges. The bench headed by Justice Sardar Asif Saeed Khosa directed the prosecution to submit a challan in the matter in the trial court without further delay.

Persecuted Ahmadiyya Muslims to boycott local government polls

The Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Pakistan (JA) will not partake in the forthcoming local government polls to register its protest against what it calls the step-motherly conduct of the state towards it. Petition in Pakistan court seeks ban on Eid sacrifice by Ahmadiyya Muslims

A petition seeking directives for Chiniot police to prevent the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community from offering ritual sacrifice on Eid ul Adha was disposed of by Lahore High Court with a directive for the DPO to proceed in the matter in accordance with law. On receiving the order a few days before Eid, the DPO sought guidance from the inspector general of Punjab police. The DPO has yet to receive a response from the office of the IGP.
